Two things Mysterion does: creators sign their work in the desktop app, and anyone can verify it — on the web, in the browser, or in the app. Verification is always free, and content never leaves your device.
Signing — in the desktop app
-
1
Open the app and choose what you're signing. Pick Sign Image, Sign PDF, or Sign Video from the sidebar.
-
2
Select your file. Choose an image, PDF, or video. Mysterion embeds an invisible, tamper-evident marker and binds it cryptographically to your identity.
-
3
Get a signed copy — your original is untouched. A signed copy is saved alongside your original, in the same folder. Mysterion never overwrites or modifies the file you started with.
-
4
Share the signed file. It looks identical, but now carries a verifiable signal of origin and integrity that survives re-encoding, resizing, and format changes.
Verifying — extension or web
-
1
Take it for a test drive. Head to the Live Demo page — it's loaded with real signed images, video, and PDFs. With the extension installed, right-click any of them and choose “Verify with Mysterion” to watch the verdict appear. The best way to see it work before you rely on it.
-
2
Then use it anywhere. Right-click signed content on any site — same menu, same instant verdict.
-
3
No extension? Use the web bar. On that same Live Demo page, paste a file's URL into the verifier bar for an instant check — no install, no account.
-
4
In the app. Use Verify Image / PDF / Video for a full check, including page-level detail on PDFs. Encrypted PDFs will prompt for a password.
